Senior Pastor
Bud and his wife, Teresa, have called BPC their home since 2015 when they moved back to Washington after ministering in South Africa for several years. Bud has been a church planter, a missionary, and is now loving being a pastor. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry & New Testament Greek, a Master of Theology in Systematic Theology, and a Doctor of Theology in Systematic Theology. Bud is passionate about God’s Word (memorizing it, communicating it, and stirring people up to know God through it) and bringing glory to God through all aspects of our lives.
Bud and Teresa love their five kids and ten grandchildren. They are often found spending time with their sweet family, reading an awful lot of books, taking long road trips, watching fixer-upper type shows, or enjoying a good steak.

NATE KOWALLIS
Pastor of Youth Ministry & Congregational Care
In the spring of 2019, Nate and his wife, Erryn, answered God’s call to move up here from their long-time home in San Diego, California. They’ve always loved pines more than palms and consider themselves blessed to land in the beautiful PNW (Northwest is the best). Nate has been ministering to students and caring for their families for over a decade. His passion is borne out of his upbringing, personalizing & sharing his faith as a child, and being acutely aware of what he needed in his brokenness as a young man. The Lord blessed him with faithful friends and mentors he seeks to emulate as he continues to grow in love for God & others and invite young people into God’s family.
If there’s a spare minute when he’s not running after his four boys, Nate enjoys landscaping and gardening, creative writing, and hiking in the Cascades.
CONOR MALIS
Director of Corporate Worship & Media
Conor & his wife Natalie relocated to Washington from Hawaii in 2017 to pursue ministry and career opportunities in the Seattle area. In the spring of 2019, he joined the staff at Boulevard Park Church. He is passionate about music and utilizing the God-given gifts of art & creativity to put the beauty & worth of Jesus Christ on display. The Malis’ are grateful to be a part of the BPC family and humbled to serve the Lord in this way.
In their free time, Conor & Natalie love to explore the neighborhoods of Seattle in search of great coffee and delicious food. Otherwise, you’ll probably find them at home snuggling with their Boxer girl, Mazie Moon, and enjoying a good TV show.
LISA BOWEN
Director of Women’s Ministry
After 26 years of being a classroom teacher, Lisa felt God calling her to take a leap of faith, leave what she’d known, and trust Him to show her what He had planned for her. She was so excited and very humbled to see that women’s ministry was what He had waiting for her! Her heart’s desire is to find & nurture ways to connect women to Jesus in a deeper way and to help build relationships between the amazing women at BPC.
In her spare time, Lisa loves to spend time working in the yard, going out to eat, reading, watching “I Love Lucy” and “Andy Griffith” reruns, drinking iced tea, and just hanging out with her family.
KATHY RAINEY
Administrative Assistant
Kathy says of her job, “Working in the church office just can’t happen unless you have God’s grace showering down on you for all the times you are humbled.” She is thankful that there have always been assistants willing to help get work done and projects completed.
Kathy and her husband, Wayne, have been married for 60 years and have raised four children. They have also been blessed with eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who bring them much joy!
