Youth Ministries

We exist to reach junior high & high school students with the good news of Jesus and cultivate a community where they belong. We want to teach students how to honor God with their daily life, help them grow in their faith, and give them opportunities to serve God by serving others.

Throughout the year we have a number of different programs, events, and groups that are meant to meet each student where they are at. Please fill out the participation form & send it with your student if they will be joining us for the first time!

Sunday School (temporarily suspended)

Junior high and high school students meet together on Sunday mornings for prayer and discipleship during first service.

Youth Group (Wednesday Evenings, 6:30-8:30 PM)

Doors will open at 6:00 pm for snacks and hanging out, and the official program will begin at 6:30 pm with games, followed by a time of musical worship and teaching, and close out the evening with small group discussions and prayer.

Upcoming events

“Reality Apologetics” Conference: October 16-17, 2020

Stand to Reason is hosting their youth conference, Reality Apologetics, in Bellevue at Crossroads Bible Church. You can find more information about the conference on their website and register your child with us at BPC here. We plan on taking 8 students at $35 per student (the early bird rate!), but can scale up as needed and if space allows.

Please fill out and return the off campus participation form (along with the on campus form if you have not already done so) to Nate at nate.kowallis@bpcburien.org.

*Please note that this conference is in person, but STR reserves the right to transition the conference to a virtual conference as necessary.

Friendsgiving: November 11, 2020

We are bringing back our semi-formal “friendsgiving” dinner! This evening is an opportunity to invite new friends to share in a meal with us and have open discussions about what it means to follow Jesus.

Minecraft Finale: November 20, 2020

Our last hurrah before the Minecraft server is laid to rest – we will meet at the church with our computers to play online in the same location. Others will still be able to join the server from home and play along with us. The goal will be to beat the game in Hardcore Mode in four hours.

Please email nate.kowallis@bpcburien.org for more information.

Transform Burien: December 6, 2020

BPC Youth is our connection to the local relief organization Transform Burien. We desire to grow in compassion toward those in need and in relationship to our families and other members of this local church. Therefore, we serve together the first Sunday of even months distributing meals, and running the food & clothing bank.

Please email nate.kowallis@bpcburien.org if you are interested in serving or exploring how Transform meets needs in our community.
